This problem may occur when Windows caches the original data on the device while the computer is hibernating.
The solution to the problem
Follow the instructions to fix the problem when data added to removable media during hibernation may get lost when you resume:
Step 1- Before reinserting the media resume the computer from hibernation.
Step 2-Once your computer is resumed from hibernation, use the Hotplug tool on the right side of the taskbar to stop the removable media device, eject it and further reinsert the media.
Windows restores the original data back to the device when the computer resumes from hibernation.
