This problem may occur when Windows caches the original data on the device while the computer is hibernating.
The solution to the problem
Follow the instructions to fix the problem when data added to removable media during hibernation may be lost when you resume:
Step 1-Firstly, resume the computer from hibernation before you reinsert the media.
Step 2-Once you resume the computer from hibernation, use the Hotplug tool on the right side of the taskbar to stop the removable-media device, eject the media. Now reinsert the media.
The solution is applicable to PC Diagnostics for Windows XP. Windows restores this original data back to the device when the computer resumes from hibernation.
