Reason

This problem may occur because of connectivity issues with the feed server or the set update frequency for the feed is too long. An issue with the local feed cache can also cause this problem.

Follow the instructions to fix the problem: Unable to Update RSS feeds in Internet Explorer 8:

Step 1-Open Internet Explorer 8 on your PC.

Step 2-Click on ‘View’ and then go to Explorer Bar.

Step 3-Click on ‘Feeds’ and then right-click on a feed.

Step 4-Click on ‘Properties’ and then click on ‘Settings’ under Update schedule.

Step 5-Make sure that an appropriate value is set for ‘Every under Default schedule’.

Step 6-Click on ‘Ok’ and then click on ‘Ok’ again.
