Step 1-Edit c:\autoexec.bat:
- Click on the ‘File’ menu and click on ‘Run’ in Program Manager. This will open ‘Run’ dialog box
- Now, in the ‘Command Line’ box , type ‘sysedit’.
- Click on ‘OK’.
- From the menu, select ‘c:\autoexec.bat’.
- Scroll to the line that reads:
“netroom\xload.exe -sd001 -m31488 c: \mmclk\chaceclk.exe /k=3072/wk=3072 /h=2048 /wb=1”
- Type ‘REM’ before the command line.
- Click on ‘File’ menu and click on ‘Save’.
- Click on the ‘File’ menu and click on ‘Exit’.
Step 2-Restart your computer.
Step 3-Now, install the desired application.
Step 4-Once the installation completes, repeat step 1), remove the REM text, and save autoexec.bat.
Footnotes:
When you extract a compressed file that has a .zip file name extension on a Windows Vista-based computer: ‘This file was compressed using an unknown compression method’.
