Which printer model and operating system you are using, without these details I can give you some general troubleshooting steps:
(A) Please disconnect the printer from the computer and first clear the error state, it may be paper jam, no ink etc so accordingly act.
(B) Restart the printer, if the light is still blinking the issue is not gone so try again.
(C) In the computer, clear the print requests.
(D) Delete any ghost/duplicate printers.
(E) Update the printer software from the manufacturer’s website.
(F) Check if the spooler services are running.
(G) Reconnect the Printer once light is stable and try to print.

Thank you for the prompt response Uttam. I'll try the steps out. By the way, I have an HP Photosmart C4680 All-in-One printer if you have some more words of wisdom for me :)
HP Photosmart C4680 has a display so it makes the troubleshooting easy. I dint get what you mean by signtrouble and the message system needs to be pluged up? I hope you are talking about the power light blinking just below the LCD. Whats is the message that comes up in the LCD when the light is blinking?
