My motherboard sound is not working so I bought external USB sound card, I don’t know how to install it. Can you help me?

You have not mentioned the model of the sound card and the Operating system. Here are the generic steps to install a USB sound card:

(a) Insert the driver’s cd that came along with the hardware and install the software.
(b) Plug the sound card in a free USB port.
(c) Follow the onscreen instructions when a new device is detected, choose to automatically detect driver.
(d) If it does not automatically detect the driver, give location of the driver inf file from the cd.
(e) Once installation is done, you can configure the sound card from the sound software that you just installed.
(f) Run a Windows update if you are using Windows OS.
