Hi , I am using HP Deskjet F380 All-in-One Printer . I was about to scan my papers but an error msg box keeps on poppin saying that 'a problem prevented the document from being scanned' and i recognized that apparently my default printer on my system is HP Deskjet F300 when I'm using HP Deskjet F380 all the time . Would love to hear ur feedback , thanks :D

You have not mentioned which OS is installed in your system and the software that you are using to scan. F380 printer is a part of F300 series and especially Vista installs any printer of this series as F300. You may manually try to update the drivers you have a good updated copy compatible with your system. Try these:

(a) If you are using Windows XP and using Windows Software to scan, try the hotfix from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953253
(b) Make sure the device is not experiencing any error message like blinking LED or any message in the display. If it is, resolve it first.
(c) Check the cables are connected properly.
(d) Reinstall the device.
