Wow! It sounds wonderful to see the display of the laptop on this huge TV! This can certainly be done and you know, its easy too! Its just that you should have all the right hardware. I will guide you through the right steps:
To connect the TV to the laptop, compatible ports and cables are required. If you would have mentioned the exact laptop and the TV model, I would have guided you precisely. Anyways, I guess your TV is FullHD and you would like your XPS to deliver excellence. So I will recommend a branded gold plated HDMI cable under the condition that both the laptop and the TV has a HDMI port. This cable supports both audio and video transfer. So once you connect the TV to the Laptop, in the TV change the input mode to HDMI and Win7 will automatically detect the TV display and give a popup. If you have a GFX card software installed, you will get varied options for the external display. Once settings are done, you will get the desired display on the TV. WOW! Wasn’t it simple?
