I have a laptop with Windows 7, which I had bought six months ago. The problem that I am facing is that the touchpad has stopped working. When I connect an external mouse, it works fine. Please help.

If the touchpad is not working after the windows upgrade, I think it’s a driver issue, please try the following steps:

(a) Please run a windows update.
(b) Please visit your system manufacturer’s website and download the latest version of Touchpad drivers compatible with Windows 7.
(c) Uninstall any previous version of touchpad drivers/software.
(d) Install the new touchpad drivers with admin rights.
(e) Update the BIOS if an update is available.
