To resolve the problem follow these steps.


 If you are trying one single USB device for all usb ports on the computer, then try another one. Just to confirm the issue.
Reinstall drivers.
 Update BIOS
 Remove and reinstall all USB controllers
• Click Start.
• Click Run devmgmt.msc
• Open the Device Manager.
• Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
• Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click uninstall to remove them one at a time.
• Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers.
• Plug in the removable USB storage device, and then test to make sure that the issue is resolved.

 Do a repair install of Windows.
 Reformat harddrive, install windows and drivers.
