I am attempting to install Windows 7 on a Sony Vio laptop and at installation time, i receive the following message A required CD/DVD device driver is missing. I f you have a driver floppy disk, CD/DVD or USN Drive, please insert it now.

This most likely happens if you the CD/DVD driver are corrupt or if you don’t have the most recent firmware update for the CD/DVD device. Visit the manufacturer’s website and download the latest firmware for the optical drive and then install it. Also Click on Start>Right click on computer>Manage>Device manager>Expand CD/DVD drive>Right click on the option mentioned below and click on uninstall. Now restart the computer to install CD/DVD drive drivers from Windows driver cache.
