If the wireless router is not working, you must be experiencing some symptoms and errors. For a good resolution, these are required; you have not even mentioned the model. Anyways, please try these:

(a) Connect the router to the system through the network cable and check if the connection gets a valid IP address.
(b) If yes, login to the router through the default gateway IP address.
(c) Check inside the router page if it gets a WAN IP.
(d) If not, try to reset the router.
(e) If there is a firmware update of the router, please update.
