I need help with something. I was emptying the deleted items folder in windows mail on my windows vista computer and the next thing I noticed was that my inbox was empty. I could have sworn I didn’t make a mistake. The computer did freeze for a while when I was doing so.

Please check the mail folders again, check the deleted folder and make sure the mails are not there. If this is the case, Windows mail, does not have any inbuilt utility to recover deleted mails. There are some thirds party applications available online that can do this job for you but this will have to be uses as soon as possible.
