"Technical difficulties" error message occurs (while editing contacts) because of incomplete partial re-delegation process of a domain/website credential check. It may also be appearing if your contacts list has grown above 1500. If you are again and again getting this error, contact live support with the complete details. They may check your login details and contacts database.
