Is it just a particular file or from a particular folder, any file attachment causes this issue? Please check the folder permissions, sharing issues, though these may not directly cause the issue but this should be in-place. Try to change the location in c: itself and see if anything changes. Is the file very large? Check the antivirus and firewall settings. Try to do the same in safe mode and see if it makes any difference.

I ran scanpst for my pst file as outlook wouldn't open, now outlook opens however all my emails i stored in my folders are saying "this item cannot be displayed in the reading pane, open the item to read its contents. However when i try to open the emails they all say "cannot open this item, this value is not valid for the status field", anyone ever seen this error before and know how to fix it?
