Its also called the inprivate filtering feature. Internet Explorer 8 comes with a tool called InPrivate Filtering. Website content provided by third parties is often used to track what sites a user visits and/or to display ads. InPrivate filtering keeps these third parties from collecting information about you and may be used to block ads. Here are the steps:
-Open Internet Explorer 8 and then use the "gear" icon on the menu to open "Internet Options". On the "General" tab in the "Browsing" settings area click the "Delete" button to bring up the "Delete Browsing History" window.
-Make certain that the "InPrivate Filtering data" checkbox (last one) is NOT checked. Click "Cancel" to exit (if you changed the setting it will be remembered even if you click cancel).
-On the "Privacy" tab of the "Internet Options" in the "InPrivate" area at the bottom, make certain that the "Do not collect data for use by InPrivate Filtering" checkbox is NOT checked. Click "OK" to close the "Internet Options" window.
-At the bottom right corner of the Internet Explorer 8 window click the "InPrivate" icon (next to the page display size icon) to turn on InPrivate Filtering. Click the little black arrow next to the icon and choose "Settings" to open the "InPrivate Filtering settings" window.
-Choose to automatically block any outside content provider or to manually block or allow.
