In order to uninstall a program from my Windows Vista SP1 machine, I accessed the control panel. But I could not see any items there. Please help me to locate the missing icons so that I can uninstall that unwanted program.

Please try the following:

(a) Check for the programs own uninstaller in the programs list/ programs folder.
(b) In such cases, I had used 3rd party uninstallers like Revo Uninstaller.
(c) If none of the program is appearing, Use the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to determine which file is causing the issue, and then replace the file.
(d) Update the antivirus software and run a full system scan.
