Whenever I play a .MP4 video in Windows Media Player, I get an error that "Windows Media Player is unable to play the file". What can be done to play MP4 files with Windows Media Player?

This may be due to missing codecs. A codec encodes a data stream or signal for transmission, storage or encryption, or decodes it for playback or editing. You can download free codecs from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_codec_pack.htm
