You have to make sure the network resource is available. Are you able to ping the IP of the network drive, if yes then try to install the hotfix as available in the link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297694 If not then you will have to check firewall if it is blocking the network access. Try to recreate the mapping association.

I just bought a new laptop (a dell xps 15) and am having trouble connecting to my home network. The laptop can find the network, but when I enter the security key it does not allow me to connect. I know it is the correct key, as there are 3 other laptops in my household and all connect to the network with no issues whatsoever.
