I have an Arris modum for the computer, and a Netgear router to make it Wi-Fi . I have tried everything to switch the D-Link Wireless N Dual Band Router to the Arris modem! Every time I am unable to get the internet through the D-Link. Maybe because the Arris modem connects to the internet through coax cable. I don't want to change the modem, as I don't have another one, but I do want to switch out the router. Does any one know how I can do this?

As per what you have written, you have three pieces of hardware, one Arris mode, one DLink router and the other Netgear Router and you want to remove the router. You have not given the model numbers, for Arris I guess it is CM_450. This modem has a USB as well as a network port so by using the network port you can connect it to the D-link and you will not need to use the Netgear router. Make sure you configure the router in a way to receive the connection information from the modem.
