When you are trying to connect to your own network, what is the error message you get, does it detect your home network or any other network near your home? Please check the following:

(a) Make sure the signal strength is good.
(b) Check your system firewall for any network related blockage.
(c) Restart the router/modem.
(d) Check if there is any MAC ID restriction in the router.
(e) Check in router if it has enough IP addresses.
(f) Delete any wifi profile in your system and then try to reconnect.
(g) Try to connect in Safe mode with networking.
